In these two videos it will be like you’re being taken by a friend on a two-part tour through his hometown of Portsmouth, somewhere he loves and of which he knows every nook and cranny.
As a result, on this tour, you’ll not only see all the major attractions of this cosmopolitan and vibrant city on England’s South Coast, such as The Spinnaker Tower and the Historic Dockyard, but also for example the Portsmouth Football Stadium, Fratton Park and along with the larger Museums, you’ll find out about the lesser known, but by no means less interesting ‘Places to go’. You’ll even eavesdrop on the bells ringing at the city’s Guildhall and the fans cheering in the stadium. As near an experience of being there as possible and a wonderful introduction to finding out more about Portsmouth and its country.
In the accompanying leaflet, Andrew has once more collected together all the (copyright protected) photos along with a short description, invaluable as he leads you through Portsmouth.
Last, but by no means least, for those who by using this in total 90-minute video wish to improve their understanding of spoken English, it will be simple to do so, with the pleasant to follow spoken style of this British native speaker’s voice.
In the first module the main features are the city, its history and its current situation, the second module’s main themes are more specific detail of its history and its lesser known hidden treasures.
